Product description

Halo offers the world's only germ]killing vacuum that uses ultraviolet light that can kill dust mite eggs, viruses, bacteria, flea eggs, mold and other invisible germs on your carpet and floor surfaces safely without the use of chemicals.

  • What is the Halo UV-ST Ultraviolet Vacuum? The Halo UV-ST Ultraviolet Vacuum is the world's only germ-killing vacuum that safely uses UV-C technology to kill dust mites, viruses, bacteria, mold, fleas and other invisible germs on your carpets and flooring. It is the only vacuum that combines powerful pick-up with chemical free disinfection.
  • Why do we need a germ-killing vacuum? Carpets are filthy and disgusting because they are rarely, if ever, disinfected. As a result, they contain one of the highest concentrations of allergens in the home. One allergen, the dust mite, is the #1 indoor cause of allergies and asthma. We may not be able to control the germs we are exposed to outside our home, but now we can create a healthy environment within our home using the Halo Ultraviolet Vacuums to kill these allergens in carpets.
  • Who needs this vacuum? Anyone that vacuums and wants a clean and healthy home. This vacuum is particularly important for (1) families with young children, (2) allergy and asthma sufferers and (3) pet owners.
  • Can I use Halo vacuums on all floor surfaces? When used appropriately (as outlined in the Owner's Manual), the Halo Ultraviolet Vacuum will not fade or damage carpets, rugs, floors, mattresses or other surfaces.
  • How many amps is the UV-ST? Our Halo UV-ST Ultraviolet Vacuum utilizes an energy efficient design that delivers more power with less energy consumption. We achieve this with two strategically placed motors: one to generate powerful pick-up and one to drive the brush bar. The benefit of the dual motor design is that when using the brush bar, performance is never compromised. The motor generating the powerful pick-up is rated at 35,000 RPMs and the dedicated, strong brush bar motor spins at 5,000 RPMs.
  • Why does the Halo Ultraviolet Vacuums use a bag when bagless is so popular right now? Our goal was to design a vacuum that exposes your family to the least amount of allergens. Bagless vacuums expose the user to the vacuumed allergens when emptying the bagless canister.
  • How long does the UV-C bulb last? The UV-C bulb is estimated to last 8,000 hours and we anticipate that it would never need to be replaced. It is covered under a lifetime warranty.
How do you know the technology is working? We use the same ultraviolet technology that has been used for decades to create the world s cleanest environments. UV-C is used to sterilize operating room instruments and to disinfect public drinking water. In addition, academic based, independent, third-party scientists have specifically tested and confirmed the effectiveness of our Halo Ultraviolet technology.
  • Do Halo Ultraviolet Vacuums use HEPA fitration? Yes. Disposable dust filter bags in the UV-ST and a separate disposable filter in the UVX are made with high quality HEPA material for maximum air filtration and home air quality. These bags play a crucial role in trapping the dirt and germs that your Halo Ultraviolet Vacuum kills and suctions from your carpet.
  • What is ultraviolet light? It's a form of natural sunlight. Scientists divide UV light into three spectrums; UV-A (black light), UV-B (used in tanning salons) and UV-C (the germ-killing light employed by Halo in its appliances).
  • How long does it take for the Halo Ultraviolet Vacuum to kill germs? The elapsed time for each germ varies. Engage the Halo UV ST Ultraviolet Vacuum's UV-C technology as you vacuum and you're effectively and cumulatively killing the germs and allergens in your carpet.
  • How often should people vacuum with a Halo? Doctors recommend that you vacuum at least weekly. A great benefit of the Halo is that the more you vacuum using the ultraviolet light, the more effective the results.
  • Is this product safe to use in the home? Yes. We have designed Halo products with safe operation and maintenance in mind. Use your Halo as directed and germs will be the only things harmed in the vacuuming of your home.
  • What is a clutch enabled belt? The Halo UV-ST has combined a powerful clutch with a rugged cogged belt to help eliminate the needof ever having to change a belt.
